You will communicate with drivers, monitor routes, respond to service disruptions, and support the operational needs of the location.\nWhat You'll Do\nCoordinate daily driver assignments, vehicle dispatching, and route coverage.\nMonitor routes and schedules to ensure safe and on-time transportation.\nCommunicate with drivers and other personnel using radio, telephone, and dispatch systems.\nRespond to service delays, driver call-outs, vehicle breakdowns, and other operational issues.\nMaintain accurate dispatch logs, driver attendance records, and operational documentation.\nCoordinate with maintenance teams regarding vehicle availability and service needs.\nAssist with scheduling adjustments and operational coverage.\nRespond professionally to customer inquiries and service concerns.\nSupport compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nWhat You'll Bring\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nPrevious dispatching, transportation, logistics, or related operations experience preferred.\nStrong verbal communication and customer service skills.\nAbility to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain calm under pressure.\nExperience using radio communication systems and computer applications.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced transportation environment.\nKnowledge of passenger transportation or route scheduling systems preferred.\nWhy Join Our Team?\nAt First Student, your work makes a difference every day.
