This role is responsible for keeping the Parts Room organized, accurate, and stocked so our technicians have the parts and supplies they need to keep our paratransit fleet safe and ready for service.\nAbout the Position\nAs a Parts Clerk, you’ll manage the day-to-day flow of parts and supplies within the maintenance facility. You’ll receive and verify shipments, maintain inventory records, assist technicians at the parts counter, order needed components, and help ensure parts information is accurately documented within our systems.\nThis is a strong fit for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computers, and experienced in an automotive, fleet, transportation, or similar parts environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nReceive, verify, label, stock, and properly store incoming parts and supplies\n\nProvide parts counter support to technicians and maintenance staff\n\nMonitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed\n\nOrder special and non-stock parts needed for vehicle repairs\n\nManage parts returns, cores, and related documentation\n\nMaintain accurate parts, inventory, repair order, and sales records\n\nEnter and verify information within computerized parts and repair-order systems\n\nConduct price and quality comparisons when sourcing parts\n\nMaintain files, reports, and other Parts Room records\n\nKeep shelves, bins, racks, and the overall Parts Room clean and organized\n\nCommunicate with vendors, maintenance employees, and other departments by phone and in person\n\nHelp ensure parts are available when needed to support safe and efficient fleet maintenance\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\n1-3 years of parts room experience strongly preferred\n\nAutomotive, diesel, fleet, heavy-duty, or transportation parts experience is a plus\n\nComfortable using computers and computerized inventory or parts systems\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping\n\nExcellent communication and customer-service skills\n\nAbility to build effective working relationships with technicians, supervisors, coworkers, and vendors\n\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities\n\nWhy This Role Matters\nOur technicians rely on an accurate and well-managed Parts Room to complete repairs efficiently and keep vehicles in service.
