In the state of Washington, this position is considered a safety-sensitive position and is therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including cannabis.\nMajor Responsibilities\nInspects body damage to determine feasibility and best method of repairs.\n\nMay use metal forming and cutting tools to perform repairs.\n\nPerforms damaged sheet metal and body repairs.\n\nRemoves, replaces, or repairs body parts using hand and power tools.\n\nRemoves, installs, adjusts, and aligns body components. May repair locks, latches, and other accessory body parts.\n\nMay perform glass and upholstery repairs.\n\nDocuments all repair and maintenance actions on Work Orders, including parts and materials used, time expended, and pertinent comments.\n\nEnsures the accuracy and completeness of all documentation and fleet MIS entries prior to release of the vehicle.\n\nEnsures vehicle security and safety while in shop. Adheres to all Governmental rules and Shop safety practices relating to operation of shop tools, use of personal safety devices, housekeeping, and health.\n\nFollows all environmental practices regarding proper handling and disposal of all waste streams.\n\nProvides written estimates of repair when requested.\n\nCommunicates and adheres to Injury Prevention (IP) standards.\n\nMinimum Education or Certifications Required\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent Grade 12 with Auto Body and Collision Damage repair certificate or 5 years practical knowledge operating an Autobody Repair Facility credential\nMinimum Experience or Skills Required\nExcellent communication skills\n\nMaintain a clean, safe team oriented environment\n\nSelf starter and work without supervision\n\nComputer skills\n\nMust be able to use all shop tools including plasma cutting & welding equipment\n\nGood financial skills\n\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions\nRepair is mostly performed indoors where noise from hammers and air tools is prevalent. All PPE rules must be followed. Shop environment with minimum travel involved.
