Manages and monitors execution of location training program to ensure compliance. Schedules and conducts recertification and enhancement training as required. Ensures training program materials are revised based upon company and branding requirements.\nLeads safety event investigations using the 5-Why’s or similar methodology, complete collision reports, oversee collision files and enters into DMO, collision register, and follows up with the claim’s office and adjusters as necessary. Assists and participates in Safety Committee meetings as appropriate.\nMaintains compliance with all federal, provincial, state, company, local regulations and policies (including company SOPs), and maintains required documentation in conjunction with DMO administrators as appropriate. Reviews data and supporting documentation that is required for hire to confirm accuracy, and ensures each employee remains qualified through active monitoring/management of the DMO system for federal, provincial, state and local regulatory compliance.\nPlans, schedules, conducts and documents monthly safety meetings based on internal and external safety training goals and objectives.\nProvides assistance and training to employees on safety-related issues.\nAssist in the oversight of driver performance using available technology, road evaluations, telematics, etc. in conjunction with the Location Manager.\nProvides various safety reports for review. Analyzes data and trending information to prepare location safety action plans. Administer location safety performance improvement plans in conjunction with location managers.\nMinimum Experience or Skills Required\nThree years of safety experience or a combination of a college degree and years of experience,\nRelevant safety certificates and OSHA (U.S.) 10-hour training preferred.\nSolid understanding of federal, provincial and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues along with FMCSA and or FTA regulations.\nSolid proficiency related to computer literacy essential with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with other software such as timekeeping and payroll systems is preferred.\nLiteracy in technology used to manage the operation to include but not limited to FGA approved Smart technology, Apps, encrypted drives, shared drives and other Smart technology.\nStrong interpersonal skills in dealing with employees of all levels including drivers, customers senior management, client representatives, union officials and general public.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively\nAbility to develop creative solutions and strategies regarding location Safety needs.\nFluent in English\nDemonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality\n Physical Requirements and Working Conditions\nIncumbent must be able to move about the office, vehicles and in the surrounding company facility outside the office (e.g., bus parking lot); utilize standard office equipment; access filing system/cabinets; and communicate effectively and efficiently in person or by telephone.\nMust be able hold a valid driver’s license to drive company or personal vehicle to investigate accidents, review driver safety performance or handle other company matters.\nLanguage Requirement\nThis role requires English proficiency.
