The position will be on a mine managing the infrastructure for 5 mines.\nKey Responsibilities\n- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.\n- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve disruptions efficiently.\n- Conduct regular network assessments and capacity planning to accommodate future growth and changes.\n- Collaborate with IT team members on network upgrades, installations, and maintenance projects.\n- Maintain network security protocols to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.\n- Prepare and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and policies.\n- Provide technical support and consultancy for network-related queries from staff and stakeholders.\n- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance network efficiency and functionality.\n- Assisting Service Delivery Manager with his duties\nRequirements\n- Proven expertise in network configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, specifically with routers, switches, and firewalls.\n- Demonstrable experience with network monitoring tools and software, as well as a solid understanding of network security principles.\n- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex network issues systematically.\n- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical team members.\n- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.\nPreferred Qualifications\n- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent are highly desirable.\n- Experience with cloud networking solutions and virtual networking technologies is a plus.\n- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools to enhance network operations.\n- Previous experience in a similar role within a large enterprise environment is advantageous.\n- Minimum of 5 years experience\nEqual Opportunity Statement\nWe are an equal opportunity employer, committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
