This individual would have tangible examples of how they have led development teams to successful deployments, coached and mentored senior developers, and have driven an enterprise level design of a system(s). They will also be able to clearly communicate and express complex ideas not only with tech leads and team members, but also business product owners, as well as external teams, while establishing a working relationship built on trust through delivery.\n\nResponsibilities & Qualifications\n\nThe Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for all software aspects within the domain including research, design, technology insertion, development, testing and support.\n\nPartner with the business and architects to design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.\n\nLead multiple tech leads who oversee SCRUM teams within the domain providing coaching, and an escalation path for troubleshooting.\n\nDrives domain wide change initiatives improving quality, speed, and throughput of the shop.\n\nOversee proactive maintenance on our existing Iaas/SaaS and on premise applications within the Digital, Cards, Risk, and Merchant Services to ensure our mission critical systems remain stable, are able to scale as our business grows, and remain fit-for-purpose.\n\nCoordinate and assist with troubleshooting of code defects, data errors and configuration problems to determine the origin of application error.\n\nKnow how to support Business critical/ complex applications.\n\nExercises Judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.\n\nDrive departmental best practices, guidelines implementation and adhere to standards.\n\nShow expertise in designing and developing real-time integrations, file-based integrations and be able to optimize the use of database level processing. \n\nDemonstrate empathy with developer and poses an innate desire to create a superlative developer experience down to the last detail.\n\nHave a deep love of building elegant, maintainable, well-documented, secure code.\n\nAlways work to improve oneself and constructively support the team around them.\n\nQualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance\nPreferred Qualifications\nIntermediate to Strong experience designing or modifying modern microservice based systems\n\nAdvanced interpersonal skills including communication and negotiation\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with Java 11+\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with Standard Design Patterns such as Factories, Command, Facade, Adapter, and more.\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with OOD/OOA\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with REST and APIs\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with Unit Test and Mocking frameworks\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with git\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with Postman\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with Docker and Kubernetes\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with Scrum and Agile\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience with wikis\n\nPreferred Experience\nAutomation Testing Framework Development\n\nReact UI Development\n\nGitlab Pipeline Development\n\nAdditional Information\n\nThis job posting is expected to remain active for 14 days from the initial posting date listed above.
