At First Quality, you’ll find a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning, professional development, and our mission to Make Things Better®.\nWe are seeking a Process Engineer for First Quality Tissue located in Lock Haven, PA.\nJob Function:\nThe Process Engineer in Converting is responsible for projects and daily work centered around correcting safety issues, supporting operations, downtime reduction, waste reduction, operator training, new product trials and setup, raw material trials, and process centerlining with the goal of improving department efficiencies and lowering operating costs while ensuring compliance with quality systems.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nResponsible for improving efficiencies of all equipment in converting process.\nWorks in conjunction with Quality department to ensure finished product satisfies all finished product quality standards.\nDevelops and implements plans and programs to reduce downtime and waste and improve converting line efficiencies.\nPromotes growth of converting operations personnel to improve understanding of process.\nAnalyzes data to identify trends and troubleshoot process problems.\nWorks with manufacturing to develop raw material standards for parent rolls.\nDevelops and leads comprehensive teams for continuous improvement projects.\nInteracts with representatives from Purchasing, Maintenance, Planning, Quality, Safety, Project Engineering, and Production personnel.\nProposes, installs, and commissions new equipment.\nCompletes setup information and lead the launch of new products.\nObserves all safety rules and uses proper PPE at all times.\nPerforms other duties as necessary and when directed to do so.\nExperience/Education Required:\nMinimum of 2 years of related experience.\nPreferred Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.\nAbility to prioritize projects and workloads utilizing time management and organizational skills.\nAbility to work within a multi-disciplined team.\nFundamental knowledge of basic rolled products converting equipment.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nDetail oriented.\nAnalytical thought process.\nWhat We Offer You\nWe believe that by continuously improving the quality of our benefits, we can help to raise the quality of life for our team members and their families.
