Move beyond explaining historic performance by identifying what the numbers mean for the business, what decisions are required, and what trade-offs management should consider.\nProvide forward-looking performance steering. Use predictive analytics to anticipate pressure points in income, costs, impairments, capital, liquidity and profitability before they materialise.\nBuild and challenge budgets, forecasts, and scenario plans, including stress-testing assumptions and linking financial outcomes to key business drivers.\nManage and track group cost performance by analysing cost drivers and product, customer, and channel profitability, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and returns.\nOwn performance dashboards. Assist with the development and maintainence of dashboards that track both financial and non-financial drivers of performance, including revenue momentum, cost-to-income trends, JAWS, customer behaviour, productivity, risk indicators and strategic initiative delivery.\nEmbed digital and AI-enabled finance ways of working independently. Use emerging AI capabilities to improve the speed, accuracy and usefulness of finance output.\nMaintain expert knowledge of relevant legislative amendments, IFRS technical accounting principals, industry best practice, and internal compliance procedures and requirements.\nSupport the reporting team with year-end external reporting deliverables, including Board reporting and the preparation of annual financial statements.\nEnhance data governance and insight quality.
