The role is accountable for shaping technology direction, overseeing emerging technologies, and managing the IT Project Management Office to enable innovative services and support the Bank’s strategic goals.Provides industry related expertise and understands the potential impact of global trends on the organisation.\nEnsures that relevant internal and external business information that impacts on other operations is shared timeously.\nEncourages innovation to ensure continued effectiveness.\nManages the Company's IT strategy, architecture, roadmap and business cases within governed processes ensuring their currency and relevancy to changes in business strategy in response to regulatory, market and key technology developments.\nProvides guidance where required on architecture options, next generation solutions/services and the impact thereof.\nEnsures the portfolio of change, driven through prioritized business and IT change requirements, is optimized to provide business value.\nEnsures the portfolio of change can be delivered through suppliers of application, infrastructure, data and security frameworks including IT impact assessment and cost management of business change.\nWorks closely with the leaders to embed the frameworks for architecture and technical quality assurance and ensure they are adhered to.\nPartners with IT and Business leaders to evolve business capabilities through innovative yet pragmatic IT architectures.\nPlans and implements human capital requirements for area of responsibility.\nPlans financial requirements for division.\nPlans systems and technology requirements and enablers for area of responsibility.\nDevelops measurement metrics to evaluate business performance and behaviour across area of responsibility using benchmarked methodologies.\nBenchmarks internal practices against industry standards to establish best practices.\nPlans, secures and controls the annual budgets for area of responsibility.\nBuilds and maintains effective relationships with stakeholders.\nDrives customer excellence through the effective interaction with internal and external customers aligned to the strategy.\nIdentifies and participates in planned activities that are appropriate for own development.\nImplements performance management across the area of responsibility.\nParticipates in planned activities that are appropriate for own and staff development in area of responsibility.\nImportant Closing Date Note\nTake note that applications will not be accepted on the below date and onwards, kindly submit applications ahead of the closing date indicated below.\n29/10/26All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group’s Employment Equity plan.
