daily monitoring and tracking of managed funds and portfolios.\n\nPreparation of management and performance reports, including monthly Exco reports, and quarterly board reports and any ad hoc reports requested by the Asset Management business.\n\nPreparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts; oversee budgetary monitoring and control functions.\n\nEnsure completeness and accuracy of the General ledger; preparation of month-end journals; responsible for periodic general ledger substantiation and reconciliation.\n\nCoordinate all internal, regulatory, and statutory tax audits; liaise with external auditors, SEC, and other relevant regulators.\n\nCoordination and preparation of monthly WHT, VAT and other taxes returns and ensuring timely remittance of same.\n\nEnsure appropriate financial controls in all accounting processes and new product development.\n\nLiaise with various internal and external service providers and manage all service level agreements.\n\nUndertake any additional duties as directed by CFO.\n\nQualifications and Experience:\nThe successful candidate should have a relevant degree qualification and must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least ten (10) years of working experience in the capital markets, preferably with a SEC-licensed Fund/Portfolio Manager.\nACCA or ICAN, university degree in Accounting/Business/Finance.\n\nMinimum of 10 years of accounting experience in an asset management company.\n\nFull-cycle financial reporting knowledge\n\nAbility to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and process documentation.\n\nExperience using Infoware system application would be an added advantage\n\nSound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.\n\nGood Microsoft Office skills\n\nAttention to detail and a high degree of accuracy\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and organization skills.\n\nTechnical skills\nGood appreciation and understanding of preparation of financial statements and finance operations.\n\nA good understanding of regulatory reporting requirements.\n\nGood understanding of IFRS and its applications.\n\nProficient in the use of computer accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools and spreadsheets.\n\nA good understanding of the asset management industry.\n\nGeneral\nGood judgment and decision-making skills\n\nHigh levels of ethics, numeracy and literacy are essential\n\nStrong interpersonal and analytical skills\n\nListening, analysis and debating skills\n\nHuman Relations Profile\nStrong character & integrity paramount\n\nHigh degree of self-confidence;
