Translate risk methodologies, regulatory obligations and business needs into clear functional, data, process and control requirements, and support delivery through testing and implementation validation.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead end-to-end requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation and change control\nTranslate Market Risk methodologies and regulatory needs into business rules, functional specifications, data requirements, controls and acceptance criteria\nAnalyse current and future-state processes, data flows and controls; complete gap, impact and dependency assessments\nFacilitate workshops and align stakeholders across Market Risk, Global Markets business, Technology, Architecture, Data, Development, Testing, Operations, Finance and control functions\nMaintain traceability from business or regulatory need through requirements, solution, testing and acceptance\nSupport solution design, backlog refinement, delivery clarification, test preparation, defect investigation and implementation readiness\nValidate that calculations, business rules, transformations, data-quality controls and agreed outcomes have been implemented as specified \nEscalate material risks, decisions and unresolved dependencies timeously; provide informal guidance to less-experienced analysts where required\nMarket Risk Knowledge\nStrong working knowledge, at a level appropriate to Business Analysis, of VaR, stress and scenario testing, P&L and risk factors, sensitivities, limits and Market Risk reporting\nFinancial instruments and derivatives, including trade lifecycle, booking, positions, valuation and downstream risk processing\nRisk data quality, aggregation, reconciliation, controls and regulatory change\nRelevant regulatory frameworks, including Basel III/IV, FRTB and BCBS239; exposure to ICAAP or Pillar 3 is advantageous\nRequired Knowledge and Skills\nBusiness and Systems Analysis in complex, data-intensive environments Requirements elicitation, process analysis, business rules, functional specifications, data mapping, user stories and acceptance criteria.· Workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation and constructive conflict resolution\nData analysis covering sources, transformations, calculations, completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reconciliation\nTesting support, defect analysis, solution validation and requirements traceability\nClear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences\nMinimum Experience\nMinimum eight years’ Business Analysis or Business/Systems Analysis experience\nDemonstrable experience in Market Risk, traded risk, financial-markets risk technology or a closely related risk domain\nExperience translating complex methodologies, policies or regulatory needs into implementable technology, data and control requirements\nExperience supporting complex change from analysis through testing and implementation validation\nProven delivery across business, risk, data and technology stakeholders\nQualifications\nRelevant Bachelor’s degree or BTech in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline\nPreferred / Advantageous\nExperience in an Agile delivery environment\nPractical exposure to FRTB, Basel-related Market Risk change, BCBS239, ICAAP, Pillar 3 or regulatory risk reporting\nBusiness Analysis, financial-markets, risk, data or Agile certification Coaching or mentoring experience and demonstrated potential for future people leadership\nImportant Closing Date Note\nTake note that applications will not be accepted on the below date and onwards, kindly submit applications ahead of the closing date indicated below.\n23/10/26All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group’s Employment Equity plan.
