Facilitate the embedment of the bank’s risk management framework, with a key focus on financial risk. Provide independent risk challenge and oversight while also supporting financial risk governance.Preparation/review of financial risk reports.\nEscalation, investigation and exception management. \nKRI tracking and board level reporting \nSupport daily trading activities by providing risk oversight and input into tactical decisions.\nPreparation of management reports and Committee packs. \nAct as a key point of contact with Broader Africa Financial Risk team and the execution of the bA Financial Risk program.\nExecution of Ad Hoc requests such as simulations, stress tests and impact assessments. \nAssessment of the level of compliance of business to minimum standards with key focus on solution formulation.\nEnsuring the conformance of processes, systems and business activities to the standards of best practice.\nImplement continuous improvement of both business processes and the control environment through collaboration with business and other Risk partners.\nKnowledge & Skills\nBroad understanding of the bank’s risk management structure and reporting lines.\nUnderstanding of the role of Risk and risk management.\nUnderstanding of the mechanics financial markets and products. \nCommunication skills. \nTask management and prioritization\nProblem solving and process optimization skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). \nHigh level understanding of governance and compliance requirements\nImportant Closing Date Note\nTake note that applications will not be accepted on the below date and onwards, kindly submit applications ahead of the closing date indicated below.\n19/10/26All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group’s Employment Equity plan.
