This includes providing\ninformation and reports to client contact(s), keeping them current on our progress.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nContinuously review the hospital census or follow established referral procedures to\nconsistently identify self-pay patients throughout the day.\nScreen patients referred to Firstsource for eligibility assistance programs at the State,\nCounty, and/or Federal levels.\nInitiate the application process at the patient's bedside when feasible.\nIdentify specific patient needs and assist them in completing enrollment applications\nfor the appropriate assistance agency.\nIntroduce patients to Firstsource services and inform them of our regular follow-up\nregarding their progress.\nFacilitate the transition, where applicable, for the backend Patient Advocate Specialist\nto establish a positive rapport with the patient.\nRecord all patient information on the designated in-house screening sheet.\nDocument screening results in the onsite tracking tool and the hospital's computer\nsystem.\nIdentify outpatient/ER accounts designated as self-pay from the census or relevant\n2 © Firstsource Solutions Limited | September 8, 2026\nReview the system for available information for each outpatient account identified as\nself-pay.\nConduct face-to-face screenings on-site when possible; attempt to reach patients by\ntelephone if on-site screening is not feasible.\nDocument outpatient/ER accounts when accepted in the hospital system and the\nonsite tracking tool.\nPerform necessary fieldwork, including patient home visits, to screen for eligibility in\nState, County, and Federal programs.\nFulfil any other duties as assigned or required by the client contract.\nAdditional Duties and Responsibilities:\nCultivate and maintain positive working relationships with hospital staff at all levels\nand in various departments.\nReport significant occurrences to management promptly (e.g., significant changes in\nthe number or type of referrals).\nAccess information for the Patient Advocate Specialist as needed (discharge dates,\nbalances, itemized statements, medical records, etc.).\nMaintain an accurate log of accounts referred each day.\nAchieve specified goals and objectives as assigned by management on a regular basis.\nAlways uphold confidentiality standards for account information.\nMaintain an organized and tidy workstation.\nAdhere to established policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook\nand the Employee Code of Conduct.\nActively participate in and remain aware of the Corporate Compliance Program.\nExpected/Key Results\nXXXXXX\nPreferred Educational Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nPreferred Work Experience\n1 -
