Over the next several years, we will be transitioning from a mainframe-based Auto Finance lending application to a server-based Asset Finance lending application.\nWhat you will be doing\nAs a Software Engineer Lead, you’ll work on a team providing production infrastructure & on call support and application defect & enhancement support for our Auto Finance lending application. This will include working closely with our client teams where appropriate.\nProvides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.\nDevelops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.\nCodes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.\nMaintains, tests and integrates application components.\nMakes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code\nDemonstrates an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry.\nAnalyzes requirements and translates business requirements into product designs.\nWrites technical specifications and other forms of documentation.\nSuggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems.\nConducts planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks.\nMay participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.\nWhat you bring\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.\n10+ years of demonstrated applications development experience with many projects as the application development system designer or technical lead.\nKnowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development.\nExcellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.\nWillingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.\nExcellent problem-solving, team and time management skills\nIs resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.\nProficiency in COBOL programming and working within a mainframe environment.\nBonus if you have\nExperience with FIS Auto Finance, GN architecture or other Systematics applications.\nWillingness to eventually transition to a C#/.NET server based Asset Finance application.\nKnowledge of C# & .NET\nWhat we offer you\n· Flexible and creative work environment\n· Diverse and collaborative atmosphere\n· Professional and personal development resources\n· Opportunities to volunteer and support charities\n· Competitive salary and benefits\nPrivacy Statement\nFIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
