You will develop cloud-ready applications using modern Java technologies and contribute to reliable, high-performance platforms that support critical business operations. Working closely with product, engineering and business teams, you will transform business requirements into technical solutions while maintaining security, quality and operational excellence. Success in this role is measured through resilient service delivery, system performance improvements and modernization outcomes.\nYour key responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain secure, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot technologies.\nDesign and build RESTful APIs that integrate with databases, messaging platforms and external systems.\nDeploy, monitor and support containerized applications across OpenShift and cloud environments.\nModernize legacy applications into reusable, maintainable and scalable service-based architectures while contributing to continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.\nTroubleshoot production issues, improve application performance and support Agile delivery through planning, estimation and continuous improvement activities.\nWhat you bring\nRequired qualifications\nExperience developing enterprise applications using Java-based microservices architectures.\nStrong knowledge of Java 17 or higher, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data and Spring Security.\nExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs, service integrations and relational database solutions using SQL.\nHands-on experience with Docker, Red Hat OpenShift or Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with Git, Maven or Gradle, and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience, with experience in automated testing using JUnit, Mockito and integration testing frameworks.\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience with Kubernetes, Helm and OpenShift ecosystem tools.\nKnowledge of AWS services including EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch and IAM.\nExperience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ, along with familiarity with OpenAPI, Swagger and observability practices.\nThe impact you’ll make\nAs a Java Microservices Developer, you will help advance the modernization of retirement technology platforms by building secure, scalable and cloud-ready services.
