Success in this role is measured through the delivery of resilient services, system performance improvements, and continuous modernization outcomes.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nDevelop and maintain secure, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.\nDesign and build RESTful APIs that integrate with databases, messaging platforms, and external systems.\nDeploy, monitor, and support containerized applications on OpenShift and cloud environments.\nCollaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.\nModernize legacy applications into maintainable, reusable, and scalable service architectures.\nWrite automated unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure software quality.\nReview code, troubleshoot production issues, and implement performance improvements.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and production readiness activities.\nImplement secure coding practices and maintain compliance with enterprise standards.\nSupport Agile delivery by participating in planning, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience developing Java-based enterprise applications, including microservices architectures.\nStrong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.\nExperience designing and developing REST APIs and service integrations.\nHands-on experience with Docker and Red Hat OpenShift or AWS cloud platforms.\nProficiency in automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, and integration testing frameworks.\nExperience working with SQL and relational database technologies.\nKnowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Kubernetes, Helm, and OpenShift ecosystem tooling.\nKnowledge of AWS services such as EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.\nExperience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.\nFamiliarity with OpenAPI, Swagger, and API lifecycle management.\nExperience implementing observability practices including metrics, tracing, logging, dashboards, and alerting.\nKnowledge of financial services or retirement products technology environments.\nWhat We Offer you\nAt FIS, you can grow your career as far as you want to take it.
