Join us and help shape what’s next in fintech.\nRole location\nJacksonville - Hybrid\nAbout the role\nAs a Senior Mainframe Application Support Engineer - Deposits, you will provide advanced production support for banking deposit applications in an IBM mainframe environment. You will troubleshoot complex production incidents, support batch and online processing, investigate application and file-processing issues, and drive problems through resolution. You will partner with development, operations, project and business teams while serving as a subject matter expert for assigned applications.\nYour key responsibilities\nProvide advanced production support for banking deposit applications, including batch processing, online systems, file transmissions and application recovery.\nLead troubleshooting of complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for recurring issues.\nAnalyze job streams, dependencies, scheduling, abnormal job terminations and batch failures, and resolve complex file-processing issues.\nPartner with development, operations, project and business teams on implementations, enhancements and issue resolution.\nMaintain support, recovery and operational documentation, participate in on-call and major incident response activities, and mentor team members.\nWhat you bring\nRequired qualifications\n7+ years of experience supporting banking or financial applications in an IBM mainframe environment, with experience in deposit or transaction processing.\nStrong COBOL programming skills, including coding, application maintenance and debugging.\nStrong knowledge of z/OS, Job Control Language (JCL), Customer Information Control System (CICS), Time Sharing Option/Interactive System Productivity Facility (TSO/ISPF), batch processing and job scheduling.\nExperience with Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), sequential files, balancing and validation, and large-volume transaction processing.\nStrong production support and troubleshooting experience, including incident management, application recovery, root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues.\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience with DB2 and Structured Query Language (SQL) for querying and validating transaction data.\nExperience with mainframe change-management, promotion and release processes.\nClient-facing support experience, including working with operations teams and external clients.\nThe impact you’ll make\nAs a Senior Mainframe Application Support Engineer - Deposits, you will help maintain the stability and reliability of business-critical banking applications.
