About the Position

The People Generalist is an integral part of the People team, providing operational support to the People Partners as well as supporting Learning & Development, corporate communications, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience with HR processes, program and project management, and performance data/metrics, and enjoys partnering across multiple HR disciplines to help deliver well-run talent and culture programs.

The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a passion for partnering with People team leaders and People Partners to execute impactful, cross-discipline solutions. The People Generalist brings strong organizational and project management skills, sound judgement, and attention to detail to the day-to-day execution of People programs, policies, and initiatives, with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.

What To Expect In This Position

    The People Generalist will be responsible to participate, and in some cases lead, in evaluating, defining and executing on People processes, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the People team and relevant stakeholders throughout the organization in the following areas:

    Learning & Development

  • Enable solutions in close partnership with the team of People Partners by identifying strategic and tactical learning solutions based on needs and organizational strategy.
  • Actively participate in establishing and achieving talent and organization-related objectives by assisting partners in developing and implementing talent development solutions.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Explore and incorporate AI-enabled tools and resources to enhance the design, delivery, and measurement of L&D programs.
  • Corporate Communications & Global Events

  • Support the coordination and logistics of global all hands meetings, fireside chats, and other company-wide events, partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams on content, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Assist in preparing, delivering, and reviewing department and corporate communications, focusing on process/functional direction to be consumed by the organization globally.
  • Ensure department’s intranet pages, static communications and guides provide employees with current information about People policies, programs, and procedures; expand the relevancy of the department site by creating content for employees globally.
  • Employee Engagement

  • Build, administer, and analyze the organization’s employee engagement survey, partnering with People Partners and leadership to translate results into actionable insights and follow-up plans.
  • Support People Partners in designing and delivering programs that respond to engagement survey findings and strengthen company culture
  • Project Management & People Team Strategy

  • Coordinate across the People team to manage select strategic project plans that are recurring or initiative driven.
  • Create/maintain project plan materials for the People team through various software platforms.
  • Support various HR projects, deliverables and special initiatives.
  • Support performance, recognition, and rewards processes, including updating employee data in systems/documents, preparing materials, providing training, handling communication and following-up as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify and apply AI tools and technologies to streamline People team processes, project management, and reporting.
  • Human Resources Operations

  • Maintain employment and confidential files to ensure organization, compliance and confidentiality.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding and all employee life cycle activities as needed.
  • Maintain system data input in LMS and Performance Management systems.
  • Develop, implement and enforce department processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide recommendations to improve process efficiency where able.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and stay up-to-date with changes.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from pre/post hires, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

What Sets you Apart

  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative and/or operational support in a high speed People team working environment,
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organization development or related field or equivalent experience
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential or equivalent is a plus
  • Proficiency in multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, culture, learning and development, performance management, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, and federal and state respective employment laws is a plus
  • Experience coordinating large-scale corporate events or communications (e.g., all hands meetings, town halls, fireside chats) is a plus
  • Comfort utilizing AI tools and technologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day work is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience building and interpreting survey or engagement data is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • High integrity, must be objective and exercise confidentiality and discretion.
