This role partners closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and external vendors to ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value.\nThis position is 100% onsite, day 1 in our Erlanger, KY office.\nYou will thrive in this role if you:\nLead with a balance of technical expertise and people-first leadership, inspiring teams to deliver their best work.\nCommunicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, translating business needs into actionable engineering solutions.\nTake ownership of outcomes, proactively removing roadblocks and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality software.\nBuild strong partnerships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.\nEnjoy mentoring and developing engineers while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nAdapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and confidently manage competing priorities.\nThese skills will be used to:\nLead and manage software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.\nDrive application design, development, and delivery using modern engineering practices and technologies.\nCollaborate with business leaders, architects, and product teams to define and deliver scalable solutions.\nOversee vendor partnerships and ensure successful delivery of externally supported solutions.\nEstablish and enforce development standards, best practices, and governance processes.\nManage budgets, resources, and project timelines to ensure efficient execution of technology initiatives.\nProvide technical guidance on architecture, system design, and emerging technologies.\nEnsure software quality through testing strategies, code reviews, and performance monitoring.\nLead continuous improvement efforts, including process optimization and adoption of new tools and frameworks.\nStay current on industry trends and bring innovative ideas to improve systems and processes.\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience leading software engineering or application development teams.\nProven experience delivering complex software solutions in a business-driven environment.\nStrong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent.\nExperience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.\nSolid understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.\nExperience working with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, or similar).\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical and business decisions.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience managing vendor relationships and external development partners.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms, AI/ML technologies, or modern data solutions.\nExperience with Agile, DevOps, or CI/CD practices.\nExposure to enterprise architecture and large-scale system design.\nExperience implementing or supporting AI-enabled applications or automation initiatives.\nStrong understanding of security, scalability, and performance considerations in enterprise systems.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nMust be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers.\nMust be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier).\nMust be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.\nMust be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.\nThe Value of a Career with The Fischer Group\n The Fischer Group is a family of companies focused on delivering exceptional experiences across homebuilding, financial services, and real estate.
