This role champions modern DevOps, GitOps, and SRE principles while enabling product teams to build, test, secure, and deploy software rapidly and reliably across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nWorking within cross-functional, distributed Agile teams, the Senior DevOps Engineer designs and delivers scalable CI/CD platforms, cloud-native infrastructure, and developer productivity tooling. The role is instrumental in fostering a DevSecOps culture, embedding security and quality by design, and leveraging automation and AI-assisted workflows to accelerate delivery and improve reliability.\nWhat you will do\nPlay a lead role in the design and implementation of a best-in-class software build and release technology solutions across multiple scrum teams and domains.\nImplementation of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) through automation and integration with our developer tooling.\nDelivering best practices in DevSecOps including CI/CD, SCM, Security practices.\nPerform regular demos to key stakeholders and consumers.\nBe an active participant and influencer in the development community and share your knowledge and experience across the organisation.\nMaintain technical documentation and conduct training to Scrum teams in the use of SCM and CI/CD tooling.\nEngage with Scrum teams and other stakeholders to identify and prioritise gaps and include in our backlog for prioritisation and implementation.\nParticipate in the release planning activities, roadmap and backlog grooming.\nDrive initiatives to improve delivery through DevOps and release on demand practices and ensure built-in quality in the SDLC. \nHelp the team drive a DevOps culture to create a best in class, high performing teams with a continuous improvement mind-set focused on delivering customer value.\nSupport Release Manger and coordination of platform deployments\nAssist with Change Management planning and weekly reviews\nAssist with monthly OS patching coordination and validation\nWhat you need to have\nTotal Experience - 8 to 13 years\nExpert knowledge of CI/CD and associated tooling including Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD, Rundeck or similar.\nExpert on modern git-based Source Code Management platform(s) with expert knowledge of git branching strategies such as Git-flow.\nExperience with observability tooling, ideally Dynatrace (APM, Kubernetes monitoring, service-level visibility)\nExtensive hands-on experience of Cloud automation using Infrastructure as Code\nExpert in one or more programming languages e.g., Java, Python, Shell Scripting or similar.\nExperience with configuration management tooling including Terraform, Ansible or similar.\nAdvanced working knowledge of secure coding practices, cybersecurity, vulnerability management, source code and artifact provenience and associated tooling including OSA/SCA, SAST, DAST.\nExperience with Source Code Static Analysis / Quality tools such as SonarQube\nHands-on production experience with Kubernetes (microservices) (from Docker image to deployment, ingress / Istio)\nExtensive experience of build automation across the complete project life cycle, in an Agile environment.\nExperience of build management in a multi-platform distributed team.\nExperience with container and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes).\nApply GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, and analysis.\nLeverage ML, NLP, or AI automation to optimize workflows, testing, data analysis, or product development.\nTranslate business problems into AI-driven use cases with measurable outcomes.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models, automation pipelines, or intelligent assistants into products.\nEnsure ethical AI usage, data governance compliance, and secure handling of model outputs.\nStay updated with emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies.\nWhat would be great to have\nDevOps advocate who is passionate about continuous improvement through process refinement and automation.\nEnjoys working with people and helping coach and encourage individuals and teams along the Agile/DevOps journey.\nEngages with and supports teams in problem identification and decision-making.\nMeticulous, with the ability to capture technical detail accurately.\nAbility to leverage both personal experience and detailed knowledge of the fundamentals of build / release management & engineering to provide creative solutions.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills to support effective communication with all stakeholders.\nAbility to report issues accurately and objectively.\nAbility to build effective stakeholder relationships up-to and including programme directors.\nComfortable working to deadlines, achieving results under time pressure without compromising quality.\nExperience using AI copilots for productivity and quality improvement.\nCapable of writing effective prompts, verifying responses, and applying results.\nUnderstanding of AI concepts: LLMs, NLP, embeddings, RAG, automation, model safety.\nHands-on with AI tools such as: \nGitHub Copilot\nMicrosoft Copilot\nOpenAI GPT models\nAzure AI Studio\nAI testing tools\nAbility to evaluate AI outputs for correctness, security, and bias.\nThank you for considering employment with Fiserv.
