As a Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and innovative payment processing solutions for our clients. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our organization by providing technical guidance, overseeing the development of robust payment systems, and ensuring seamless integration with client applications.\nWhat you'll do:\nSolution Design: Collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, and development teams to define and design end-to-end payment processing solutions that meet business requirements, industry standards, and security regulations.\nTechnical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and expertise throughout the entire project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, development, testing, implementation, and support. Drive architectural decisions and ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.\nSystem Integration: Evaluate existing systems and develop integration strategies to ensure seamless communication and data exchange between payment processing systems and client applications, such as e-commerce platforms, mobile apps, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.\nAPI Development: Design and document APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to facilitate secure and efficient communication between various payment systems and client applications. Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper implementation and adherence to industry standards.\nSecurity and Compliance: Ensure that payment processing solutions adhere to industry security standards (such as PCI DSS) and comply with relevant regulations. Identify potential security risks, recommend, and implement appropriate controls and safeguards.\nTechnical Consultation: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical guidance, best practices, and recommendations related to payment processing technologies, trends, and emerging industry standards.\nDocumentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, user guides, and training materials. Conduct training sessions for internal teams and clients as necessary.\nCollaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, quality assurance engineers, and operations teams, to ensure successful delivery of payment processing solutions. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.\nExperience you'll need to have:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\nProven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar role in the payment industry or related domains.\nDeep understanding of payment processing technologies, including payment gateways, card networks, tokenization, encryption, fraud prevention, and risk management.\nStrong knowledge of payment industry standards, such as PCI DSS, EMV, ISO 8583, and other relevant regulations.\nProficiency in API design and integration using RESTful APIs and messaging protocols (e.g., SOAP, JSON, XML).\nExperience with cloud-based solutions, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).\nFamiliarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code).\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nExperience that would be great to have:\nKnowledge of emerging payment technologies, such as mobile payments, digital wallets, and blockchain-based solutions\n\nThank you for considering employment with Fiserv.
