If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.\nJob Title\nSolutions Architect - Core BankingAbout the role\nWe are seeking a Solutions Architect with strong domain expertise across Core Banking, Cards and Payment Hub environments. This role will lead the design of secure, scalable and resilient solution architectures that support business and technology transformation initiatives.\nThe ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of Australian banking and card payments, along with strong technical capability across microservices, cloud architecture, APIs, integration patterns, databases and infrastructure. This role will work closely with internal engineering teams, operations, cybersecurity stakeholders and Fiserv architects to define approved connectivity patterns, enable secure integrations and establish robust platform monitoring and alerting capabilities.\nThis role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.\nWhat you will do:\nDesign end-to-end solution architecture for platforms supporting Core Banking, Cards and Payment Hub capabilities.\nTranslate business, operational and regulatory requirements into scalable architectural solutions.\nDefine architecture patterns for microservices-based applications and distributed platforms.\nLead secure cloud and hybrid architecture design, including integration between cloud services and on-premises infrastructure where required.\nPartner with delivery, engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure architecture is implementable, supportable and aligned with enterprise standards.\nWork with Fiserv architects to review and approve connectivity patterns, interface designs and deployment approaches.\nSupport firewall opening processes, connectivity enablement and required Fiserv Cyber approval activities.\nEstablish and guide implementation of platform observability, including monitoring, logging, alerting and operational health capabilities in line with approved standards.\nDefine and govern API architecture, API security controls and event-driven integration patterns.\nSupport solution design across internal and external system integrations, including banking, card processing and payment ecosystems.\nProvide technical leadership on infrastructure, networking and platform dependencies.\nEnsure architecture decisions consider performance, resilience, security, compliance and operational support requirements.\nContribute to architecture governance, design reviews, risk assessment and technical documentation.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful implementation and transition into production.\nWhat you will need to have:\nDeep domain knowledge in Core Banking platforms, and experience in Cards and Payments Hub ecosystems.\nGood understanding of local Australian banking and cards landscape, including payment processing and integration considerations.\nExperience working in regulated financial services environments.\nProven experience designing enterprise-grade solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.\nStrong experience with microservices architecture and modern application design principles.\nCloud architecture expertise, including hybrid integration patterns.\nStrong API design and API security knowledge.\nStrong event integration knowledge, including asynchronous and event-driven architectures.\nStrong Python development or scripting knowledge.\nStrong MySQL and NoSQL database skills.\nStrong network and IT infrastructure knowledge.\nExperience connecting cloud services with on-premises environments securely and reliably.\nExperience establishing monitoring, alerting and operational support capabilities for enterprise platforms.\nUnderstanding of security controls, connectivity approvals and enterprise integration governance.\nWhat will be good to have:\nExperience working with banking, card issuing, acquiring or payment switching platforms.\nExperience working with enterprise cybersecurity, network and infrastructure approval processes.\nExperience in large-scale platform modernization or transformation programs.\nFamiliarity with architecture governance in complex enterprise environments.\nRelevant cloud, architecture or security certifications are desirable.\nThank you for considering employment with Fiserv.
