If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.\nJob Title\nConsumer Debt Resolution SpecialistAbout Your Role:\nSchedule Requirement (Important):\nThis position follows a Monday-Friday schedule and requires flexibility to work:\nThree onsite shifts: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM\nTwo late shifts: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM\nEmployees become eligible for work-from-home privileges after 90 days, with the two late shifts worked remotely.\nAs a Consumer Debt Resolution Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting delinquent consumer debt via telephone in a fast-paced call center environment. Using both manual dialing and automated dialing systems, you will engage with customers regarding outstanding account balances, negotiate payment arrangements, and help customers find financial solutions.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nCollect debts via telephone in a call center environment, either manually or using an automatic telephone dialing system, to contact merchants regarding their outstanding accounts.\nEnsure that collections are conducted in compliance with all applicable regulations and internal performance standards to meet or exceed personal and/or departmental objectives.\nEstablish rapport with merchants to overcome objections and negotiate payment of debts.\nDocument all discussions and actions in a tracking system or database.\nConfirm payment arrangements and finalize calls.\nWork on special projects as assigned.\nRecover overdue payments on accounts.\nCollaborate with debtors to establish repayment plans and encourage alternative payment solutions.\nAddress customer issues and complaints related to billing.\nMaintain thorough documentation of all discussions and actions.\nExperience You’ll Need:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably in a collections, call center, or sales environment.\nKnowledge of applicable laws related to the debt collection industry.\nProficiency with computer systems and database management.\nStrong work history with a proven record of job stability.\nExperience That Would Be Great to Have:\nExperience with the CUBS system.\nExtensive knowledge of collections regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.\nPrevious experience in bank collections, credit card collections, mortgage collections, medical collections, or commercial collections.\nAbility to negotiate repayment plans effectively.\nStrong problem-solving skills to resolve billing issues.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.\nSponsorship:\nYou must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
