You will work with engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver secure, available, and high-performing database platforms that enable reliable data access, integration, and operational continuity across Fiserv.\nWhat you'll do:\nDesign, implement, and maintain database solutions that support application, reporting, and operational requirements\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance to improve availability, stability, and efficiency\nPartner with cross-functional teams to align database architecture, data access, and integration processes with business and enterprise technology needs\nPerform database audits, health checks, and capacity reviews, and recommend upgrades, configuration changes, and process improvements\nSupport database security, backup, recovery, patching, and disaster recovery activities to protect data integrity and platform resilience\nDevelop and maintain standards, procedures, and documentation for database administration, performance tuning, and operational support\nEvaluate emerging database technologies and administrative practices to support continuous improvement\nResponsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary\nExperience you'll need to have:\n6+ years of experience in database engineering, database administration, or database platform support in enterprise environments\n3+ years of experience administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments\n3+ years of experience administering and supporting Oracle Database environments\n3+ years of experience performing database performance tuning, query optimization, and root cause analysis\n3+ years of experience implementing database security controls, user access management, and data protection practices\n3+ years of experience supporting data integration, extract transform load (ETL) processes, and data movement across systems\n1+ years of Fiserv systems experience\nBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience\nExperience that would be great to have:\nExperience supporting PostgreSQL and MongoDB environments\nExperience working in financial services or other regulated industries\nExperience supporting high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions\nHow you'll work:\nThis role is on-site Monday through Friday.
