Your expertise will ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of our software systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy software architecture solutions that meet the evolving needs of the financial services industry.\nWhat you'll do:\nDesign and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable applications using Java and Spring Boot.\nDefine application and solution architecture for microservices-based, cloud-native systems running on AWS.\nTranslate business requirements and complex problems into clear technical designs and implementation approaches.\nLead technical design discussions and clearly articulate architecture decisions, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and alternatives.\nCreate and maintain architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, API specifications, technical design documents, and solution blueprints.\nDesign and implement REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and distributed services.\nExperience you'll need to have:\n8+ years of software development experience, with significant hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java.\nStrong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, including building production-grade REST APIs and microservices.\n1+ year working on applying AI and Generative AI to improve platform capabilities, engineering productivity, operational support, and developer experience.\nDesign and implement AI-enabled services and integrations using LLMs, APIs, and cloud-based AI services, while maintaining appropriate security, privacy, reliability, and observability.\nDemonstrated experience designing software solutions and application architectures, not just implementing predefined designs.\nStrong experience with AWS and building cloud-native applications.\nExperience designing and implementing microservices and distributed systems.\nExperience with API design, system integrations, and asynchronous/event-driven architectures.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, a related field (or foreign equivalent degree), or equivalent work experience.\nExperience that would be great to have:\nExperience building or modernizing payment processing, financial services, fintech, or high-volume transactional platforms.\nIdentify opportunities to apply AI and Generative AI to improve platform capabilities, engineering productivity, operational support, and developer experience.\nDesign and implement AI-enabled services and integrations using LLMs, APIs, and cloud-based AI services, while maintaining appropriate security, privacy, reliability, and observability.\nExperience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM.\nExperience with Kafka or other event-streaming/messaging technologies.\nImportant information about this role:\nThis role is on-site Monday through Friday.
