Our platform enables banks, fintech companies, and embedded-finance providers to launch and operate financial products with agility, scalability, and reliability.\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and develop scalable backend services, contribute to database modernization and migration initiatives, and help solve complex technical problems across our platform. Our backend services are primarily written in Go, but we welcome experienced engineers with strong expertise in another modern programming language who are interested in becoming proficient in Go.\nWhat you will do\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.\nLead or contribute to database migration and modernization projects.\nAnalyze existing applications and databases to identify dependencies, risks, and technical requirements.\nDesign and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, partitions, triggers, and stored procedures.\nCollaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions.\nEnsure data integrity, security, reliability, and performance throughout the software-development and migration processes.\nUse AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve design, implementation, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.\nParticipate in code reviews, architectural discussions, production support, and mentoring of other engineers.\nWhat you will need to have\n7+ years of professional software-engineering experience.\nStrong experience developing production backend systems in Go or another modern programming language.\nAbility and willingness to become productive in Go.\n5+ years of experience with relational databases, including database design, optimization, and data-migration techniques.\nStrong PostgreSQL experience or comparable experience with another enterprise relational database.\nExperience with query optimization, indexing, data modeling, partitioning, triggers, and stored procedures.\nExperience operating applications or databases in a cloud environment.\nPractical experience using AI-assisted development tools while independently validating generated output.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.\nA passion for technology, continuous learning, and solving complex engineering problems.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and/or military experience.\nWhat would be great to have\nProduction experience developing backend services in Go.\nAdvanced PostgreSQL experience, including PL/pgSQL, replication, high availability, or performance tuning.\nExperience with cloud-native architectures, containers, Kubernetes, microservices, or distributed systems.\nExperience with change data capture, database replication, or large-scale data migrations.\nExperience with performance and load testing.\nExperience with specification-driven development, including translating requirements into technical specifications, implementation plans, and automated tests.\nImportant information about this role\nWe’re better together.
