This role collaborates closely with writers and managers to coach, guide, and maintain editorial excellence. The Editor also leads initiatives in training, continuous improvement, and content governance, contributing to a high-performing documentation team aligned with organizational standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nEditing and Quality Assurance\nEnsure technical documents are free of errors, clear, concise, and follow styles and standards through developmental editing.\nEnsure consistency across deliverables.\nEnsure the quality of FIG knowledge articles by completing Style and Quality reviews.\nCollaboration and Coaching\nCollaborate with technical writers to clarify information that is not clear and suggest improvements.\nCollaborate with managers for the purpose of skill development and coaching.\nStandards and Process Management\nManage the Editorial review process by monitoring the intake of review request and assigning review tasks as required.\nManage and monitor the Quality review process and train new writers in this process as needed.\nMaintain the team's Technical Writing Style Guide and Wiki and determine when we need to add or update standards.\nMaintain the Acrolinx style guides and review terms submitted by the technical writers.\nTraining and Development\nProvide continuous learning opportunities.\nActively participate in the preparation and presentation of Quality workshops.\nBasic qualifications for consideration\nBachelor's degree required. Degree in Technical Communications, Professional Writing, English, or Journalism preferred.\n7-10 years of relevant technical writing experience in an applicable field.\nLeadership experience, including mentoring or coaching cross-functional teams in a content development or editorial environment.\nDemonstrated mastery of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.\nExperience reviewing, editing, and providing feedback on other writer’s work.\nStrong skills in conflict resolution and collaboration.\nThorough understanding of the Microsoft Manual of Style.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.\nProficiency with help development toolsets, including desktop publishing, graphics, and word processing (that is, Word, Visio, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat).\nExperience using Madcap Flare software and HTML.\nSolid knowledge of content analysis, modeling, design, and structured writing.\nProficiency with screen capture and screen editing tools for importing into other sources (that is, Flare, Word, and PowerPoint).\nExperience in creating technical documentation within both SDLC and Agile environments.\nProficiency in writing content in U.S. English.\nPreferred qualifications for consideration:\nAdvanced degree in Technical Communications.\nExperience writing user interface text and application screen content.\nExperience with Content Management Systems.\nProficiency with SharePoint document repositories and Word templates.\nRelated banking industry experience in platforms, banking applications, payments, or online financial solutions.\nThank you for considering employment with Fiserv.
