If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.\nJob Title\nTechnical Production Control - Advisor IAbout your role:\nAt Fiserv, the Application Support Engineer collaborates with a multidisciplinary Production Support team to deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, automate, and maintain critical enterprise application platforms in production.\nWhat you’ll do:\nLead troubleshooting and root-cause identification, recommending long-term resolutions across the platform.\nImplement application enhancements and fixes for issues reported by downstream users or end users.\nResolve incidents and problems, including complex cases, using established problem-solving techniques and processes.\nRecommend process and monitoring improvements.\nPerform in-depth application reviews and provide feedback to improve code artifact quality.\nCollaborate with L2 support on data processing and troubleshooting activities.\nApply end-to-end application support and escalation procedures to deliver effective service operations support.\nCreate regular status reports using MTTR (Mean Time to Resolve) and MTTA (Mean Time to Acknowledge) metrics.\nExperience you’ll need to have:\n5+ years of engineering, production support, administration, or similar experience, including at least 3 years as a production support analyst.\nKnowledge of Apache, Tomcat, FTP, SFTP, SAMBA, NFS, and Boot FS.\nHands-on scripting experience with Shell, Perl, PowerShell, or Python for automation.\nBachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience\nPrior Fiserv experience is required.\nExperience that would be great to have:\nUnderstanding of ITIL concepts, with ITIL certification preferred, and experience with Incident, Problem, Change, Capacity, and Release Management.\nApplication production support experience in a 24x7 uptime environment, including automation across Unix and Windows and familiarity with Red Hat Linux, AIX, Solaris, SUSE Linux, and Windows.\nExperience with schedulers such as UNIX crontab, Control-M, Autosys, and Windows Task Scheduler, plus working knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or MariaDB.\nUnderstanding of certificate renewals, installation, and certificate management tools such as Venafi.\nExperience with Splunk, Dynatrace, PCF, and Kubernetes.\nHow you’ll work:\nThis role is fully on-site, and each shift includes at least one weekend day or evening.\nThis is a full-time, direct-hire position.
