If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.\nJob Title\nTechnical Production Control - Advisor IAbout your role:\nAt Fiserv, an Application Support Engineer will, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary Production Support team, be responsible for the deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, automating and maintenance of critical enterprise application platforms in production.\nWhat you’ll do:\nPerform troubleshooting to lead the path to root cause identification and make recommendations for long-term resolution of problems across the platform.\nMake application enhancements and fixes to resolve issues reported by downstream or end users.\nSupport and resolve incidents and problems within the team. Assist with the resolution of complex incidents, demonstrating mastery of problem-solving techniques and processes.\nRecommend strategies for process and monitor improvements.\nPerform deep dive application review and provide feedback to enhance the quality of application code artifacts.\nCollaborating with L2 support, perform data processing and troubleshooting activities.\nUs strong understanding of end-to-end application support process and escalation procedures to provide effective support in service operation.\nCreate regular status reports using understanding of MTTR (Mean Time To Resolve), MTTA (Mean Time To Acknowledge.)\nExperience you’ll need to have:\n5+ years total engineering, production support and administration or similar experience (Have acted as a prod support/ analyst for at least 3 yrs.\nKnowledge of Apache, Tomcat, FTP, SFTP, SAMBA, NFS, Boot FS is preferrable.\nHands on scripting experience using shell, perl, powershell, python scripting languages for automation purposes.\nBachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience\nPrior Fiserv is required.\nExperience that would be great to have:\nGood understanding of ITIL concepts and service delivery processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Capacity, and Release Management; ITIL certification is preferred.\nSolid application production support experience in a 24x7 uptime environment, including automation across Unix and Windows platforms and strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux, AIX, Solaris, SUSE Linux, and Windows.\nExperience with scheduling tools such as UNIX crontab, Control-M, Autosys, and Windows Task Scheduler, along with working knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or MariaDB databases.\nUnderstanding of certificate renewal, installation, and management tools such as Venafi, plus experience with log analysis and application monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.\nBasic knowledge of cloud-native platforms and container orchestration technologies, including PCF and Kubernetes.\nHow you’ll work:\nWe’re better together!
