The Fitch Group Corporate Communications team is responsible for helping to protect and advance the firm’s reputation, through the promotion of Fitch’s research, ratings, and thought leadership. The intern will have exposure to multiple countries in Latin America and will work closely with analysts, marketing, and global communications teams.\nWhat We Offer:\nAn opportunity to develop knowledge of corporate communications and media relations in a global financial services environment\nExposure to regional and international media landscape, including top-tier business and financial outlets\n\n Hands-on experience supporting communication strategies, media outreach, and content development\nCollaboration with cross-functional teams including analytical, marketing, and digital\nTo be part of a dynamic, supportive, and international team\n5 hour contract\nWe’ll Count on You To:\nAssist in drafting media materials, including press releases, pitches, and internal briefings documents (in English, Portuguese, and/or Spanish).\nSupport the planning and management of the social media calendar, including coordinating creative and social media requests, and arranging analyst quotes and interviews for specific campaigns, events, and media opportunities.\nSupport media monitoring efforts, including daily news scans and summary reports on relevant coverage.\nMaintain and update media lists and journalist databases.\nTrack media coverage and assist in preparing regular reporting on communications activities and results.\nHelp coordinate media inquiries, outreach efforts and follow-ups with journalists.\nAssist in identifying relevant news trends and potential media opportunities.\nAssist with internal communications initiatives, including drafting and distributing announcements, supporting the internal promotion of key campaigns and events, and helping ensure messaging is aligned across teams.\nSupport website content reviews and recommend improvements, as well as review event agendas, webpages, eBooks, and other marketing materials to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.\nProvide logistical support for media engagements, interviews, and events (virtual or in-person).\nHybrid model, candidate must be available to work in-office at least 3 days a week.\n What You Need to Have:\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nFluency in Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus)\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)\nWhat Would Make You Stand Out:\nPrevious internship or academic experience in communications, PR, media, or content creation\nFamiliarity with media monitoring tools and social media platforms\nInterest in financial markets, economics, or business news\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nWhy Fitch?\nAt Fitch Group, the combined power of our global perspectives is what differentiates us.
