They are also responsible for preparing, cooking, and delivering flavorful dishes to our guests, ensuring that every bite is a satisfying and memorable experience.\nResponsibilities include but not limited to the following:\nOpen/close kitchen when needed\nPrepare a variety of appetizers and entrees for guests\nEnsure proper food preparation to keep the kitchen and line fully stocked\nMaintain a clean kitchen by properly washing dishes and utensils\nFollow all sanitary and health code requirements\nCollaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent service\nControl and direct the food preparation process\nAssist in hiring and training of all kitchen staff\nActively evaluate kitchen staff performance to ensure day-to-day business needs are met\nManage and oversee all kitchen operations at the location, including facilities maintenance and cleanliness; ensure compliance with the department of health and all other applicable laws\nEnsure above-and-beyond service standards are met at all times, including food quality, consistency, and timeliness of service\nMaintain extensive and up-to-date knowledge of our menu and recipes\nDevelop and implement efficient kitchen processes\nAnticipate, identify, and correct issues with inventory, systems, and staffing; understand, monitor, manage and control inventory\nEnsure staff members have applicable, up-to-date food handling licenses\nSupport scheduling and managing labor costs.\nRequired Qualifications:\nAt least 3 years of experience as a line cook\nAt least 1 year management experience\nAbility to work independently and with a kitchen team\nAbility to delegate responsibilities and monitor staff\nCredentials in health and safety training\nMust be flexible with hours\nCertification that meets local requirements\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs during normal operations\nDeliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest\nBenefits (*applies only to full-time employees):\nHealth, Dental, and Vision insurance*\nShort-Term Disability*\nAccident and Critical Illness Insurance*\n401(k) *\nMeals while working are included for free\nPay: $26-28/hr\nJob Type: Full Time\nSchedule: Nights and weekends required\nFive Iron Golf is committed to celebrating diversity and creating an inclusive environment for employees of all backgrounds.
