claims experience strongly preferred.\nPayment processing or financial transaction experience preferred.\nHigh school diploma or GED required; additional billing or healthcare education a plus.\nTechnical proficiency with EMR systems and standard computer applications.\nAbility to work independently in a remote or virtual environment.\nMust be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.\nBackground check required in accordance with applicable laws.\nEssential Functions\nPatient Payment & Account Support\nAccurately process patient payments via phone in accordance with financial responsibility policies.\nCreate, update, and maintain payment plans following established guidelines.\nEnsure transaction accuracy, proper documentation, and data integrity.\nBilling, Insurance & Claims Support\nInterpret and clearly explain claim notes, balances, and billing outcomes to patients.\nVerify, audit, and update insurance information for completeness and accuracy.\nAdd or update insurance data within the EMR and resubmit pending or corrected claims.\nEducate patients on billing concepts including coordination of benefits, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, timely filing, and claim denials.\nIdentify discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing-related issues.\nProblem Resolution & Patient Education\nResearch account history to determine the root cause of billing or payment concerns.\nRecommend appropriate resolutions and next steps in alignment with policies.\nMaintain professionalism and empathy during complex or sensitive financial discussions.\nResource & System Utilization\nUtilize approved billing systems, EMR platforms, tools, and knowledge resources.\nNavigate multiple systems simultaneously while assisting patients.\nAdhere to all documentation, privacy, and security requirements.\nReliability & Continuous Learning\nMaintain schedule adherence and consistent availability during assigned hours.\nComplete all required client-mandated training.\nParticipate in ongoing uptraining and cross-training initiatives.\nEthical & Compliant Conduct\nUphold HIPAA requirements, confidentiality standards, and security protocols.\nDemonstrate professionalism, accountability, and patient-centered service in all interactions.\nRequirements\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAnalytical
