You’ll work in a delivery team that owns an end-to-end, complex backend solution, building automated tests for our web frontend and REST APIs using a Python-based framework. You’ll grow your skills with support from senior engineers.\nWhat you’ll do\nWrite, maintain, and run end-to-end automated tests for the Five9 Virtual Contact Center application as part of a delivery team.\nAnalyze test results using framework and product logs, and investigate failures with guidance from senior teammates when needed.\nContribute to the Python automation framework and internal tools by implementing features and fixes.\nHelp improve test stability and efficiency, including reducing flaky tests.\nCollaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps to resolve issues and clarify testing needs.\nTake part in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, Increment planning) and share ideas for improving our tools and processes.\nWhat you bring\n2 to 4 years of experience in test automation or a similar role.\nHands-on experience with Python 3 or another OOP language.\nGood understanding of programming fundamentals, including OOP.\nExperience automating REST APIs or similar interfaces.\nWorking knowledge of Linux.\nUnderstanding of the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.\nExperience with Git and an issue tracker such as JIRA.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and a collaborative, curious mindset.\nNice to have\nExperience with Selenium.\nFamiliarity with test frameworks (pytest, Robot Framework).\nExposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).\nBasic knowledge of Docker or cloud environments.\nInterest in contact center or telephony technologies.\nFamiliarity with multithreading or concurrency concepts.\nWorkplace location: This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside Porto, Maia, Matosinhos, Gondomar, Valongo e Vila Nova de Gaia.
