We look for crucial skills in team members such as a problem-solving mindset and intellectual curiosity, along with comfortable integration into a deeply collaborative system that rewards impact. \nKey Responsibilities: \nDesign, implementation, and automation of large-scale distributed systems \nBuild tools and automation that help Five9 achieve higher availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency \nWork with Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment \nMonitor production and development environments to build preventive measures and provide a seamless customer experience \nWork with delivery teams on software improvements to achieve higher availability and lower MTTD \nParticipate in on-call rotation (8h shift, 7days a week, every 3-4 weeks) \nKey Requirements: \n7+ years of public cloud experience (GCP or AWS) \n7+ years of private cloud experience (Openstack, VMware ESXi) \n7+ years of Linux experience (Centos/Ubuntu) \n7+ years of networking experience \nOrchestration and management of containers using Kubernetes, Helm, GKE and Docker \nExperience with Gitlab, ArgoCD, CI/CD methodologies & tools \nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Python or other scripting languages \nExperience with Ansible config management tool \nExperience with Prometheus/Loki/Alertmanager/Grafana observability tools \nExcellent problem solving and analytical skills \nExperience with Incident Management Process, SRE best practices and continuous improvements \nExperience designing large scale distributed systems \nFamiliar with DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and best practices \nStrong verbal and written communications skills \nBachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience \n This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week inoffice.\nFive9 embraces diversity and is committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
