You’ll work in a delivery team that owns an end-to-end, complex backend solution. You’ll build and maintain automated tests for our web frontend and REST APIs, and help modernize the Python-based framework behind them.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign, write, and maintain end-to-end automated tests for the Five9 Virtual Contact Center application as part of a delivery team.\nAnalyze test results using framework and product logs, and investigate failures down to root cause.\nExtend and support the Python automation framework, and build internal tools that make testing faster and more reliable.\nModernize the framework by improving CI/CD integration, parallel execution, and stability, and by reducing flaky tests.\nIdentify weak points in existing automated flows, fix them, and track their efficiency over time.\nPartner with Development, DevOps, and TechOps to align automation priorities with company strategy.\nTake part in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, Increment planning) and contribute ideas that improve our tools and processes.\nWhat you bring\n5+ years of experience in test automation roles, with a track record of owning framework design or technical decisions.\nHands-on experience with Python 3 (other OOP languages are a plus).\nSolid knowledge of programming techniques and algorithms, including OOP and multithreading.\nExperience automating REST APIs and/or SDK-type interfaces (Python, Java, C++, etc.).\nStrong Linux skills.\nSolid understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.\nExperience with version control and issue tracking (Git, JIRA).\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and a collaborative approach to working across teams.\nNice to have\nExperience with Selenium.\nExperience designing or extending test automation frameworks (pytest, Robot Framework, or custom).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud environments (AWS/GCP).\nKnowledge of contact center, telephony, or CCaaS technologies (WebRTC, SIP, CTI).\nExperience mentoring other engineers.\nWorkplace location: This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside Porto, Maia, Matosinhos, Gondomar, Valongo e Vila Nova de Gaia.
