You'll collaborate closely with engineers across a distributed team spanning Australia, India, and the US. AI tools are a core part of how we work every day.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild and ship features on the new agent desktop in React + TypeScript + Nx, using AI coding agents as part of the daily workflow\nTake ownership of well-scoped work end-to-end, from implementation to testing to deployment\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the shared quality bar\nCollaborate async-first with engineering, product, and design across distributed time zones\nContribute to async planning via Jira, written documentation, and Slack\nQualifications & Skills\nStrong React and TypeScript proficiency; experience with other modern frameworks (Vue, Angular, Svelte) is a good signal\nTesting experience with Jest and/or Playwright, with an understanding of the value of thorough test coverage\nAble to operate autonomously on a small, fast-paced team; fills gaps and makes reasonable calls without constant direction\nStrong written communication and collaboration skills for a remote, async-first, distributed environment\nPrior experience using AI coding tools and a genuine willingness to evolve those skills as the space changes\nBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline\nPreferred Skills\nPrior experience in CCaaS, agent desktop, or UI platform roles\nFamiliarity with TanStack Query and Zustand\nWeb accessibility knowledge; familiarity with WCAG standards and building accessible UIs\nMonorepo and micro-frontend architecture experience; Nx preferred, but PNPM, Lerna, and other tools are good signals\nExperience with WebSockets or real-time application development\nOther Requirements\nWorking shift must be aligned to overlap with Pacific working hours\nThis position requires the ability to be On Call\nKey Relationships\nThere are no direct reports to this role.\nKey stakeholders include:\nService owners and their teams\nTechnical leadership and senior management, including VPs\nEngineering teams\nNetwork and Telecom teams\nCustomer service teams\nCompliance and infosec teams\nThis is not a customer-facing role.\nThis role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week inoffice.\nFive9 embraces diversity and is committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
