This role plays a key part in designing, maintaining, and optimising data systems that power CITIC Securities International’s research and business operations.\nKey Areas of Responsibilities\nDatabase Management: Maintain and manage database systems by creating, updating, and optimising tables, views, and stored procedures to meet complex business logic, compliance needs, and operational requirements within the securities domain.\n\nCross-functional Collaboration: Work with IT colleagues and business users to understand end-to-end workflows and translate requirements into efficient data pipeline designs aligned with operational and regulatory demands.\n\nData Solutions Development: Develop and deploy reliable data solutions using Python and SQL, ensuring the accurate and efficient execution of business jobs and automated processes.\n\nRespond to time-sensitive data requests by extracting, transforming, and validating datasets while maintaining strict data integrity and confidentiality.\n\nBusiness Intelligence Integration: Integrate data into BI tools such as Qlik to develop interactive dashboards and visualizations that facilitate data-driven decision-making for business stakeholders.\n\nPerformance Optimisation: Diagnose and resolve database performance issues, including latency and query inefficiency, through SQL tuning, indexing strategies, and architectural improvements to enhance scalability and throughput for high-volume transaction systems.\n\nGlobal Collaboration & Compliance: Partner with onshore teams to advance global system maturity and maintain rigorous data security and compliance standards in accordance with both onshore and offshore regulatory frameworks. \n\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline\n\n5-8 years of relevant experience data engineering, database development, or similar roles, preferably within the financial or securities industry.\n\nProficiency in SQL and Python, with understanding of ETL workflows and data modelling.\n\nStrong analytical mind with attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and communication skills.\n\nExcellent command of / fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin\n\nExperience with BI tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau) and cloud-based data environments is an advantage.\n\nStay informed on CITIC CLSA Job Opportunities\nNot the right fit?
