The candidate will work closely with front-office users and technology teams to design scalable solutions, drive delivery execution, and ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.\nThe position offers an opportunity to play a critical role in building and enhancing the next generation Commodities Options platform within a fast-paced front-office environment.\nKey Areas of Responsibilities\nLead requirements analysis and solution definition for Commodities Options technology initiatives.\n\nTranslate complex business requirements into detailed functional, technical, and system specifications.\n\nDrive end-to-end technology delivery across multiple workstreams and system components.\n\nOwn functional and technical design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nPerform impact analysis across trading, risk, market data, pricing, and post-trade systems.\n\nAct as the subject matter expert for platform functionality, workflows, and integration architecture.\n\nAnalyze complex production issues and coordinate resolution activities.\n\nSupport platform enhancements, system optimization, and strategic technology initiatives.\n\nReview solution designs and ensure alignment with business and architectural objectives.\n\nCoordinate SIT, release validation, and production rollout activities.\n\nProactively identify delivery risks, technical challenges, and dependency impacts.\n\nCollaborate with business users, quantitative teams, risk management, operations, and technology stakeholders across regions.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related discipline.\n\n8-12 years of experience in technology projects delivery, within investment banking or capital markets.\n\nProven experience delivering complex front-office technology initiatives and enhancing enterprise trading platforms.\n\nUnderstanding of OTC derivatives and trading systems, preferably Commodities Options will be preferrable\n\nStrong knowledge of distributed systems, enterprise application architecture, software design principles, APIs, messaging frameworks, and event-driven architectures.\n\nSolid understanding of the full software development lifecycle, release management, testing frameworks, and modern delivery practices.\n\nStrong SQL and data analysis skills, with the ability to perform technical investigations, impact assessments, and root cause analysis of complex issues.\n\nHands-on exposure to Java and Python technology stacks, with experience working on Java-based enterprise applications and Python-based automation, data processing, or platform enhancement initiatives within investment banking, capital markets, commodities, or derivatives business\n\nExperience working with pricing, risk management, market data, trade lifecycle, and post-trade systems is highly desirable.\n\nKnowledge of Calypso or similar capital markets platforms is a strong advantage.\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on solution design, technical reviews, implementation approaches, platform modernization, and automation initiatives.\n\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills\n\nExcellent communication skills in English and Chinese, both spoken and written\n\nStay informed on CITIC CLSA Job Opportunities\nNot the right fit?
