In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.\nThe estimated pay range for this role is $77,350- $139,800. The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, include a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range $92,820- $167,760.\n Both levels of Project Managers will manage, monitor and control projects to ensure that they safely achieve the Project deliverables within the approved scope, cost and schedule.\nThe level III position will be assigned less complex projects commensurate with level of experience and will be guided by senior level Project Managers. Projects assigned will progress in complexity to enable progression to the next level.\nResponsibilities include:\nReviewing Project documents for clarity and completeness - examples include scope documents, project plan, contracts, equipment and construction bid packages, requisitions, Bills of Material or Material Requests for Issue, Task Authorizations, and Engineering Work Requests.\nReviewing Project and contract budgets for adequacy and completeness. Initiating and ensuring budget revisions made and documented when required.\nEnsuring change management protocols are followed to ensure complete documentation for changes in scope, schedule and costs.\nProviding project status reports. Recurring, standard reports and ad hoc reports that address status of scope, budget and schedule and that identifies risks and issues and outlines mitigation strategy.\nObtaining concurrence (or buy-in) from affected departments to support the proposed schedule and resource requirements. Review and approval of Project Plans.\nValidating project estimates including contingency. \nDeveloping, with input of project team, the strategic and tactical execution plan for the project.\nMonitoring and / or reporting contractor resource levels.\nEnsuring adequacy of Project Team membership and participation. Responsible for overseeing the activities of consultants and contractors assigned.\nUnderstanding the terms of the contract and associated documentation of services under the contract/purchase order. Upon mobilization to the site, reviews applicable topics delineated in the Service Contractor Orientation/Evaluation Checklist with the contractor.\nResponsible for the quality assurance and control program, including identification of quality requirements, responsibility for QA program (Energy Delivery's or Contractor's program) and if required, review and approval process for contractor provided procedures.\nCommunicating Project goals, priorities and decisions to the Region/Corporate Leadership Team.\nEnsuring Project challenge meetings, peer reviews and assessments are performed.\nWorking with Project Controls to develop and update the Project schedule.\nIdentifying and notifying the Project Team of additional resources or requirements necessary to meet the Project scope or schedule\nEnsuring the close-out and lessons-learned protocols are completed. Participating in audit of completed projects to evaluate whether identified objectives and benefits have been realized.\nQualifications at the Transmission Project Manager III level include:\n· Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field is required. Minimum of 3 years’ related experience required. In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to applicants having 7 years related experience or 5 years transmission or distribution utility experience.\n· Related experience includes project organization, engineering, finance, construction, project management, planning or project controls.\n· Strong project management abilities with exceptional time management skills are required. Candidate needs the demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and control multiple tasks.\n· Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical ability are required.\n· Experience with a project management tool such as Primavera, MS Project, etc. with related Scheduling / Resource Planning expertise is a plus\n· Detailed Project Controls experience is a plus\n· Understanding of construction timing and construction documentation\n· Successful candidate must be a team player and possess a willingness to work in a team environment. Must be willing to travel to assigned project locations throughout the service territory.\nQualifications at the Transmission Project Manager IV level include all the above plus:\nAn employee hired at the Transmission Project Manager IV level will be expected to perform all the above responsibilities with more proficiency, and in a more independent manner. Further, the Transmission Project Manager IV level employee will be assigned additional responsibilities related to those above, including:\n· Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field is required. Minimum of 5 years’ related experience required. In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to applicants having 10 years related experience or 7 years transmission or distribution experience.\n· Related experience includes project organization, engineering, finance, construction, project management, planning or project controls.\nThe level V employee will be assigned projects of increasing complexity. At this level the Project Manager is expected to manage any project in the portfolio with guidance as needed from Leadership. Projects assigned will progress in complexity and variety to facilitate acquiring a breadth of knowledge and experience to become and subject matter expert and progress to next level.\nQualifications at the Transmission Project Manager V include all the above plus:\nBachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field is required. Minimum of 8 years’ related experience required. In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to applicants having 12 years related experience or 8 years transmission experience.\nRelated experience includes project organization, engineering, finance, construction, project management, planning or project controls.\nStrong project management skills are required with a demonstrated ability to develop, manage and control multiple tasks.\nExperience with a project management tool such as Primavera, MS Project, etc. with related Scheduling / Resource Planning expertise is a plus.\nDetailed Project Controls experience is a definite plus.\nExcellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical ability are required.\nSuccessful candidate must be a team player and possess a willingness to work in a team environment.\nAll employees must have an account to use a FirstEnergy computer to apply for jobs.
