requirements.\nProvide recommendations for compliance with standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, GDPR, and local regulations.\nConduct comprehensive MITRE ATT&CK based assessments to evaluate the organization's security posture against known adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). \nMap detection and response capabilities to the MITRE ATT&CK framework, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements.\nPerform detailed compromise assessments to identify indicators of compromise (IOCs), suspicious behaviors, and evidence of potential or active breaches.\nUtilize endpoint detection, log analysis, threat intelligence, and forensics tools to support compromise investigations.\nDevelop assessment reports, remediation plans, and executive summaries based on findings.\nCollaborate with SOC, threat intelligence, and incident response teams to strengthen detection and response processes.\nPresent technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nSIEM/SOAR Implementation & Enhancement\nDesign and enhance SIEM/SOAR architecture and rule sets (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, ArcSight).\nRecommend log source onboarding and log normalization best practices.\nAutomate response workflows to improve SOC efficiency.\nTeam Mentoring & Knowledge Transfer\nProvide guidance, training, and mentorship to SOC Level 1 and Level 2 analysts.\nLead tabletop exercises and post-incident reviews.\nDevelop internal documentation and knowledge base content.\nRequirements\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.\nMinimum 4+ years of experience in a SOC environment.\nProven experience in incident response, threat detection, and SOC consulting.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, etc.).\nFamiliarity with SOAR platforms (e.g., Palo Alto XSOAR, IBM Resilient).\nDeep understanding of cyber threats, TTPs, and frameworks like:\nMITRE ATT&CK\nCyber Kill Chain\nCIS Controls\nNIST 800-61 / 800-53\nProficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is a plus.\nCertifications (Preferred but not mandatory)\nGIAC (GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, GCED)\nCISSP / CISM\nCEH / ECSA\nISO 27001 LA or NIST-based certifications\nSoft Skills:\nExcellent communication and report writing skills.\nAbility to lead and influence security teams and stakeholders.\nStrong analytical and critical thinking abilities.\nClient-facing and consultative mindset.\nKey Deliverables (if Consultant Role):\nSOC maturity gap
