This role emphasizes field instruction mastery, student career development, and maintaining high levels of student engagement, all while acting in accordance with company values, vision, and mission.\nResponsibilities\nProvide expert hands-on training and classroom instruction, demonstrating advanced field training techniques to ensure comprehensive understanding and application of safety and quality standards.\nIdentify and support student growth by making objective recommendations for career development and providing guidance for professional advancement.\nEnhance and maintain high student engagement levels throughout various training classes using innovative and interactive teaching methods.\nProvide classroom instruction as needed, approximately 50% of average monthly assignments.\nAdminister hands-on training for various courses, ensuring practical application of skills.\nTest and evaluate all students, record grades, and dismiss non-eligible students.\nMonitor student engagement and learning levels throughout various training classes.\nReview all training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.\nIdentify potential instructor candidates and assist in the development of junior-level instructors.\nResponsible for maintaining a clean and organized classroom at all times.\nResponsible for the inventory of classroom materials.\nProvide field on-the-job training as needed, approximately 50% of average monthly assignments.\nAdminister the external portion of the Basic Work Zone training process and ensure all aspects of training, including the DRIVE program, are completed in accordance with established protocols and timelines.\nProvide daily support, coaching, and guidance on best practices to field employees.\nSubmit completed BWZ checklists to the Training team.\nManage field employee performance, including on-site coaching to review proper site setup, required PPE usage, and answering questions.\nWork with Risk Training and Operations to identify field employees needing additional coaching and development on a weekly basis.\nProfessionally represent the organization to clients, employees, and the public, whether actively working on a site or providing training or job site support.\nAssume field employee responsibilities when necessary and as assigned.\nConduct, attend, and participate in various department meetings as necessary.\nMaintain valid internal training certifications through Flagger Force Academy.\nAssist safety personnel with the investigation of incidents.\nCollaborate with peers and managers to ensure alignment with Flagger Force processes and procedures.\nTravel within 1-2 hours from home frequently, with opportunities for overnight stays outside your home market if interested.\nWhat Flagger Force Offers:\nMedical, vision and dental insurance\n401k w/company match\nGenerous paid time off\nOn-site fitness facility\nPaid holidays\nHealth savings account\nCompany paid benefits (long term disability and basic life/AD&D)\nEmployee assistance program\nTuition and education assistance\nEmployee appreciation events\nGiving back to the communities we serve through paid volunteer time off\nProfessional development opportunities\nQualifications\nExpertise in hands-on field training techniques.\nAbility to identify and support student career development.\nProficient in maintaining high student engagement levels.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to adapt quickly and manage time effectively.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).\nSteel toed boots or the ability to obtain prior to employment.\n\nMaintain valid internal training certifications through Flagger Force Academy\n\nMust hold all required Department of Transportation qualifications for assigned territory\n\nValid driver's license in accordance with Flagger Force motor vehicle record standards\n\nPreferred experience:\nOne (1)+ year(s) experience with Flagger Force and/or similar traffic control knowledge \nFlagger Force is an industry leader in traffic control.
