Staff will be required to perform the necessary work to maintain the optimum level of cleanliness in every building or worksite serviced by FlagShip Facility Services, Inc.Job Description\nEssential Functions\nFloor work and carpet care duties and responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:\nScrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extracting, and mopping\nReview assignment(s) with Supervisor\nGather necessary/required equipment and products\nSafety belts must be worn while performing each and every work assignment\nInform lead person of completed assignment(s)\nRecord time worked and products used\nWet floor signs must be used at all times, including work on both carpets and tile. Absolutely no exceptions under any circumstances\nInform lead person immediately of any problem or situation which prevents the completion of an assignment or which causes an assignment to be completed in a substandard manner\nAll company safety rules and regulations must be met and adhered to at all time. Absolutely no exceptions. Violations will result in disciplinary action.\nCompany vehicles must be kept in a safe, neat, and orderly condition at all times\nAny other related duty as directed by the president, vice president of operations, or operations manager.\nMust maintain a neat appearance. A clean and neatly worn uniform is required at all times.\nMust attend periodic training and safety meetings.\nMust be able to follow directions and perform work per instructions.\nMust be able to follow building maps to locate work areas. Must be punctual.\nKnowledge and Skills\nMust have knowledge of basic floor care duties and responsibilities.\nMust have knowledge of and be able to operate floor care equipment, which includes but is not limited to, automatic scrubber, buffer, shampoo machine, extractor, wet vacuum, carpet pile lifter and vacuum.\nMust have knowledge as to proper use and application of floor care products.\nMust have good listening and verbal communications skills.\nSome positions require the ability to speak English.\nEducation and Work Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in commercial facilities and building maintenance.\nWork Environment\nSmall-to-large office environment.\nSafety glasses required while performing certain tasks.\nFast-paced office environment.\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.\nExposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.\nRegularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.\nRequirements\nBe able to pass criminal background requirements.\nMust have a valid driver’s license, and possess and maintain a good driving record.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.\nAbility to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time, including the ability to walk long distances.\nThe employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds of office and facilities equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting devices.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nUnder The Americans with Disabilities Act reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
