May compute employees' time worked, production and commissions. May compute and post wages and deductions or prepare paychecks.\nJob Description\nBenefits:\n401K with match\n2 weeks vacation\nHealth, Dental, and vision\nEssential Functions\nReconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports\nManage work flow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely\nPerform daily payroll department operations\nUnderstand proper taxation of employer paid benefits\nProcess correct garnishment calculations and compliance\nExecute time sheets and attendance processing and interface with payroll\nPerform compliance for unclaimed property payroll checks\nProcess manual check and relocation metrics\nResearch and email appropriate audience of file issues\nProcess accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary\n Resolve payroll issues via ticketing system (ServiceNow)\nKnowledge and Skills\nWorkday payroll processing experience is required (2+ years)\nBilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus\nUnion knowledgeable\nWorking knowledge of payroll best practices\nStrong knowledge of federal and state regulations\nStrong PC skills including proficiency in Excel\nStrong work ethic and team player\nAbility to deal sensitively with confidential material\nStrong interpersonal communication skills\nAbility to communicate with various levels of management\nDecision-making\nProblem-solving\nAnalytical skills\nOrganizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills\nEducation and Work Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred\n5 years of experience in multi state payroll\nWork Environment\nSmall-to-large office environment\nFast paced office environment\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate\nExposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully\nperform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger,\nhandle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk,\nhear or smell.
