Engagement & Residence Life\nYou will coordinate and support initiatives designed to build a strong and positive student community.\nResponsibilities include:\nDeveloping and coordinating student engagement initiatives\nPlanning residence life programmes and campaigns\nSupporting student orientation activities\nCoordinating wellness initiatives\nPlanning and supporting student events and community activities\nEncouraging student participation\nBuilding a strong sense of belonging within the residence\nIdentifying student needs and engagement gaps\nGathering student feedback on events, facilities, services and the overall residence experience\nStudent Support & Communication\nYou'll also be an important point of contact for students.\nYou will:\nAssist with student queries, concerns and residence-related matters\nDocument and follow up on student complaints\nEscalate concerns when necessary\nCommunicate residence updates, notices, rules and reminders\nAssist management in identifying recurring student concerns\nEnsure sensitive student matters are handled professionally and confidentially\nProvide students with clear and professional feedback\nThis requires someone who is approachable and empathetic while still professional, organised and able to follow appropriate escalation processes.Student Leaders, Residence Assistants & Sub-Wardens\n\nThe ResLife Coordinator will assist with the coordination and guidance of Sub-Wardens, Residence Assistants, Student Life Interns and other student leaders, where applicable.\nYou may assist management with:\nShortlisting and interview coordination\nSelection of Student Life Interns and Residence Assistants\nOngoing coordination and guidance\nMonitoring student leader performance\nIdentifying training and support requirements\nCoordinating after-hours support responsibilities\nHandover and escalation processes\nMonitoring participation in approved residence initiatives\nEnsuring appropriate standards of conduct\nThe role may require after-hours work when operationally necessary.Events, Administration & Reporting\n\nStrong administration is an important part of this position.\nYou will maintain accurate records relating to:\nStudent Events | Event Attendance | Student Engagement | Complaints | Student Concerns | Actions Taken | Student Feedback | Risks | Improvement Areas\nYou will also assist with residence calendars, communication plans, event trackers and post-event feedback reports, ensuring information is accurate and submitted within required timelines.\nWhat Success Looks residence life reporting\nPositive residence culture\nStrong community engagement\nQualifications & ExperienceMatric / National Senior Certificate is required.\nA relevant qualification or experience in any of the following will be advantageous:\nStudent Support | Residence Life | Student Affairs | Hospitality | Property Operations | Social Sciences | Community Development | Events Coordination\nPrevious exposure to student accommodation, student engagement, residence operations, community development or events coordination would be particularly relevant.\nYou will also need strong administrative, communication and reporting skills, while experience working with students and diverse residence communities will be advantageous.\nThe Person We're Looking For\nWe're looking
