You'll report to our Head of Finance and work closely with People, Sales, and AP to keep our numbers accurate and our reporting sharp. It's a hands-on role for someone ready to grow from pure accounting into forward-looking financial planning as Flanks keeps scaling.\nWhat you'll do\nHere's what you can expect to work on:\nApply Spanish GAAP (PGC) to accounting, bank reconciliations, and monthly closings, reviewing and approving transactions to keep internal controls tight.\n\nRun the end-to-end monthly closing process and consolidate costs to meet Finance team deadlines.\n\nPrepare and file taxes (IVA, retenciones, Sociedades, etc.), keeping us fully compliant locally.\n\nOwn the financial reporting plan and lead preparation of financial statements and management reports.\n\nMonitor financial performance against budget and contribute to FP&A processes and forecasting.\n\nInteract directly with clients and investors to troubleshoot billing issues and resolve financial queries.\n\nWhat we'd love to see\n3+ years of professional experience in accounting or as a Financial Controller, ideally at a fast-growing scale-up, a Big 4 firm, or an accounting firm.\n\nA bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of IFRS and/or Spanish GAAP (PGC).\n\nAdvanced Excel/Sheets skills.\n\nExperience with ODOO or another ERP and hands-on tax filing experience (Modelos 111, 303, 200) - a plus.\n\nComfortable using AI and automation tools to streamline financial processes - a plus.\n\nLanguage Proficiency: Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish to collaborate effectively in our bilingual environment .\n\nIf this sounds like you, don't worry if you don't check every single box-we'll support your growth along the way.\nWhat we offer\nWe offer what we think is fair compensation\n\nA full-time, permanent contract.\n\nA cool office between Sants Estació and Plaça Espanya with stunning views of Barcelona.\n\nFlexible working hours and hybrid work options.\n\nPaid day off on your birthday.\n\nWeekly fresh fruit, coffee, and tea on tap.\n\nFriday happy hours after our all-hands meetings (totally optional, of course!).\n\nTeam-building events to bond and have fun.\n\nHealth insurance and flexible compensation with Alan.\n\nA digital canteen with Kombo.\n\nA yearly training budget to keep growing.\n\nThe hiring process\nSend us your CV, cover letter, etc.\n\nYou'll have a chat with our People Business Partner, Nicolás Guilarte.\n\nA meeting with our Head of Finance, Arnau Ros.\n\nA technical discussion meeting with some of Flanks team members.\n\nAny extra meetings you (or we) might need to iron out any questions.\n\nWe send you an offer!\n\nWe aim to keep things moving fast-ideally wrapping things up in one to four weeks.\nIf this sounds like a good fit for you, we'd love to hear from you.
