Flatiron Health is an independent affiliate of the Roche Group.\nWhat You'll Do\nIn this role, you'll work within the Platform organization to ensure that our Cloud Network Infrastructure maintains the highest levels of reliability, performance, observability and agility. As a member of Enterprise Engineering you will have a key role in scaling, maturing and driving innovation across all segments of cloud networking, empowering our development teams to provision and consume cloud resources frictionlessly. In addition, you'll also:\nDesign and build cloud-native network infrastructure that provides high levels of scalability, reliability, and performance, while balancing security, maintainability, and operational excellence.\nInnovate in an automation-forward and cloud-first environment, building tools and platforms that can scale our network infrastructure with the growth of our products.\nInterface across teams to codify and reliably test infrastructure changes using Flatiron’s software development lifecycle\nMaintain, support, and modernize local network infrastructure in our NY and SF offices\nActively participate in code and configuration reviews\nCraft solid and clearly explained designs, playbooks, and documentation, for consumption by teammates and the larger engineering organization\nBe proactive in performance & availability monitoring; provide remediations for systemic issues\nActively participate in on-call duties\nWork as a team on escalations, resolving critical issues that impact our high SLA production systems \nWho You Are\nYou're a Cloud Network Engineer who focuses on cloud networking automation. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. In addition:\nYou have strong experience in resilient and distributed cloud network infrastructure, including VPN architecture, firewall configuration and network segmentation and routing in a cloud-native environment. \nYou have expertise in observability platforms like Observium and Datadog, and have experience building out automated reliability and observability tooling. \nYou are passionate for network configuration management and test-driven infrastructure automation using orchestration tools like Ansible and Terraform.\nYou are driven towards self-service network infrastructure provisioning for frictionless developer experiences.\nYou have experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and multi-region BC/DR cloud networking\nYou have experience working with a production environment with high uptime requirements and measurable SLAs\nYou are familiar with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes\nYou have demonstrated the ability to deliver high-quality, on-time solutions that are reliable, scalable, and maintainable\nYou prefer working in a dynamic environment, comfortable challenging the status quo\nYou believe that a team working well together is truly smarter than the single smartest person on that team\nOptional:\nAWS Certified Advanced Networking or other AWS certifications\nExperienced in AWS Transit Gateway\nExperienced in AWS Landing Zone\nPalo Alto firewall and networking expert\nAruba WLAN infrastructure\n If this sounds like you, you'll fit right in at Flatiron. \nWho We Are\nOur people are at the centre of everything we do.
