As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in defining the technical direction of Flatpay's online platform and helping establish the technical and architectural foundations that will support the next phase of Flatpay's growth.\n\nThis is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage. You'll have the opportunity to help launch new solutions, shape how the platform evolves as adoption grows, and learn directly from customers along the way.\n\nIf you enjoy building products from the ground up, working close to customers, and seeing your work evolve from first launch to large-scale adoption, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a domain that will play an important role in Flatpay's future growth.\n\nWhat you'll do\n\nDesign and build scalable systems that power online payments and commerce experiences\n\nLead feature and platform initiatives involving multiple engineers, driving delivery from discovery through production\n\nTake ownership of features from design and implementation through deployment and maintenance\n\nDrive architectural decisions and long-term technical improvements\n\nBuild APIs, services, and integrations that enable online payment experiences\n\nImprove reliability, observability, performance, and security across the platform\n\nPartner with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to drive technical and product outcomes\n\nMentor engineers through coaching, code reviews, and knowledge sharing\n\nHelp establish engineering standards and best practices as the Online domain continues to grow\n\nWho you are\n\n7+ years of professional software engineering experience\n\nStrong experience designing and operating distributed systems\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead technical projects involving multiple engineers and influence architectural decisions\n\nExperience building scalable backend platforms and APIs\n\nComfortable navigating ambiguity and helping shape new products and systems\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\n\nExperience within payments, fintech, e-commerce, SaaS, or high-scale transaction systems is a plus\n\nYou'll be working with technologies such as the following.
