The Higgins team in Auckland is seeking a Plant Operator to join our Silverdale asphalt batch plant. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team responsible for manufacturing and supplying asphalt mix to both internal and external customers.
What you'll bring
- 2 + years experience operating asphalt batch plants, including troubleshooting and basic mechanical maintenance
- Strong understanding of materials, tools, and methods used in asphalt production
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts on a rotating roster
- Class 1 licence (WTR) or overseas essential
- Class 2 preferred - we’ll support you to gain this
- Familiarity with handling bitumen; D & F endorsements beneficial
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Proven commitment to health and safety
