In this varied role, you'll play an important part in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function, with exposure across treasury, invoice processing, reconciliations, month-end reporting, fixed asset administration, and compliance activities. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help maintain accurate financial records, support strong financial controls, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the integrity of our financial information in a fast-paced environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport foreign exchange (FX) and treasury activities, including maintaining hedge documentation and payment processing.\nProcess FX supplier invoices, payment runs, reconciliations, accruals and IFRS 16 leases and compliance requirements.\nPrepare and post month-end journals and support timely period-end close activities.\nMaintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.\nComplete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.\nAdminister P-Cards and employee expense processes to ensure integrity of all claims.\nAssist with GST, FBT, and other statutory compliance requirements.\nSupport internal and external audit activities.\nAssist with year-end reporting and close procedures.\nProvide financial support and guidance to stakeholders across the business.\nContribute to identifying and implementing process improvements.\nAbout You\nThis role is a true stepping stone to paving an established career path within Laminex and the wider Fletcher Building Group. You will bring a proactive approach, a continuous improvement mindset, and have the aspiration to develop and further your career, bringing with you:\nA degree in Accounting, CPA qualified (or working towards), with 2-3 years' experience within supply chain operations or a manufacturing environment.\nStrong technical accounting foundations: you’re confident with debits and credits and understand how transactions flow through to the ledger.\nProven experience managing IFRS 16 lease accounting and related compliance requirements.\nExperience across a range of finance functions, such as AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end reporting, or compliance.\nWorking knowledge of New Zealand GST and FBT requirements.\nHigh attention to detail and strong analytical skills.\nAdvanced Excel skills, confident with IF, VLOOKUP, MATCH, and scenario modelling\nStrong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.\nA continuous improvement mindset and openness to new technology and ways of working.\nThe ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.\nA proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to get into the detail.\nFamiliarity with AI-enabled tools and an interest in leveraging technology to improve efficiencies.\nExperience with ERP systems such as Workday, BPCS/IBS, or AssetPro is advantageous.\nWhy Laminex?\nJoin a supportive and collaborative finance team where you'll gain broad accounting exposure, strengthen your technical expertise, and build valuable business partnerships.
