Working alongside experienced commercial and construction professionals, you'll help manage budgets, forecasts, subcontract costs, reporting, and contract administration from project delivery through to completion. This is an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working closely with project teams, solving problems, and turning numbers into practical insights.\nMonitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and expenditure across multiple work activities\nAssist with monthly forecasting, cost-to-complete reporting, and earned value analysis\nReview subcontractor, labour, plant, and material costs to support commercial performance\nPrepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, reconciliations, and financial reporting information\nSupport contract administration, procurement activities, and payment certification processes\nMaintain accurate commercial records and reporting within project management systems\nWhat You'll Bring to the Role\nA tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline\nAround 5+ years' experience in quantity surveying, commercial, or contract administration roles \nStrong understanding of construction contracts, subcontract management, and project cost control\nExperience working with NZS3910, alliance contracts, target cost contracts, or similar delivery models\nStrong working knowledge of CCS Candy\nAdvanced Excel skills and confidence working with commercial reporting and cost management systems\nStrong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to build positive working relationships across project teams\nAbout Te Awa Kairangi\nTe Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme.
